Ian was a wonderful guide who ensured our safety and was... read more engaging and thoughtful of all members on the group. Having gone on a big walk at Cape Point the previous day our muscles were already a bit fatigued when we started, but Ian made sure we were encouraged along at times and allowed plenty of rest stops. Despite having to change hike location and not having clear views at the top due to weather, it was a very memorable experience.
You really do need a good level of fitness and courage to tackle the terrain as our walk at Camps Bay was alot of vertical steps. If you do this hike, do yourself a favour and change into a clean shirt, climb the extra 2 sets of stairs to go to la Belle resturant on the Camps Bay waterfront for a lovely brunch and ocean views. ( The toilets there are super luxurious).

I was... read more a bit nervous beforehand, considering the terrain and this being my first true hike. However, Kyle put me at ease throughout the hike. You could really get a sense that he loved the outdoors, as well as had a very expansive knowledge of Table Mountain's hike routes, as well as had interesting insights on the mountain's flora as well. I would highly recommend using Kyle as a guide.

  For our stay in Cape Town, my girlfriend and I booked 2 hikes with Kyle. On the 29th of November we hiked Table Mountain and on the 8th of December... read more we did Lion's Head. Kyle is super flexible and adjusts the hikes/routes to the level of those in the group. Initially we had booked the 2 hikes with the dates switched around, but as weather conditions changed Kyle recommended switching the hikes around which in the end resulted in amazing views and comfortable conditions going up.

Kyle created a group chat with the other hikers the day before going up Table Mountain. Meeting early was definitely worth it and I can’t think of a better start to your day. The group was nice and Kyle made sure to give everybody individual attention. We took the India Venster trail, which was challenging but again worth it. I can highly recommend booking your Cape Town hikes with Kyle and want to say thanks again for the great memories!
