I was supposed to do Table Mountain but once he found out my... read more fitness level he recommended Lions Head. I can say that I would not have made it up Table Mountain. I did the Lions Head hike which was very challenging but very breathtaking once I reached the top. I would not have been able to do it alone without Kyle. I truly felt I was hiking with a friend. He ensured that I was completely safe and very encouraging when I felt like giving out (although he didn’t know that ). I highly recommend starting with this hike, having that discussion on fitness level with him so he can see where you’re better off. I didn’t get the chance to do Table Mountain but I can guarantee you that Lions Head is awesome. I greatly appreciated the refuel in the middle of the trip with nuts and fruits because it gave me energy to continue the hike. There was also coffee and rusk at the top which felt like a little sweet treat for actually making it. Overall, highly recommend experienced. Well with the money. DO IT!!!!!

  My friend and I initially booked the afternoon activity. Kyle nicely expressed his concern about the weather and suggested to move the activity to the morning, so we fully trusted... read more him appreciated it. From his activity description there would be some optional items such as food, coffee, etc. However, he didn’t ask us anything prior the tour except the optional pick up and drop off service which was 200 R per person. My place was close to the hiking start point so I didn’t book this service. So basically the 45 USD only included the guidance and some introduction of table mountain while many other tour guides would include the pick up, breakfast, or even just a little food or water. On the way up was fine. His wife nicely helped me to conquer my fear and eventually got some really cool photos at the edge of the cliff. We didn’t stay at the top for long and started walking back to the start point. Honestly I was really hoping we could take the cable cart down. When we were going down, another tour member (not my friend) and I had difficulties to get down the steep path as we had no experience in mountain hiking. Kyle rushed us at the beginning and kept saying “hurry up”, which made me a bit nervous. We were far behind the team although we tried our best. In the half of the way, he finally slowed down and waited for us in the front. My friend (who came with me) also participated in another tour to lion Head the day before this one. His experience was way much better than this. It’s still a happy ending as I was satisfied with what I have achieved that day, but Im not very satisfied with the service we paid for. It was just okay.
