Even though, the weather prevented us from going up the mountain fully (though the forecast said sunny!) they had an alternate plan. I waited over a week for the "perfect" day to go on the mountain, so I encourage you to be flexible and know that you're in good hands and they will make the best of it, whatever the weather is for the day you choose because they want you to have a good experience. An extra goldstar to Kyle for identifying the plants and flowers I sent him pictures of after the hike! A heads-up if you want to be a part of a small group, we were a medium group of about 13 and a few people cancelled at the last minute. Would happily do another tour with Kyle!

He... read more was on time, explained everything in advance, and then was flexible all along the way. Our son and I hung back to go a little slower. My husband and Kyle went to the summit. Maoti said it was amazing - the views, the descriptions/explanations, and his level of fitness... but he said the best part was the conversation and companionship. He said Kyle was a "really nice guy, and we shared a lot about being fathers and our lives... it was really great."

  Our guide, Robert, was incredible. He was a knowledgeable, thoughtful, and accommodating guide. I really enjoyed his positive energy and stories about the lands and his local experience. The hike... read more itself was stunning and provided a moderate challenge, including climbing with staples and chains.
I would be reluctant to recommend this experience to someone with a limited fitness level or an overwhelming fear of heights.
I felt the experience was overpriced and did not disclose that there would be an additional expense (of ~$15) associated with using the cableway until the day before the hike. Those with climbing experience would not need a guide. Though, for safety reasons, I would recommend doing it with at least one other person.

I am fit, but I am not a hiker & the hike was tough, however I’m so glad I did it. My husband quit at the beginning because he’s scared of heights and ummm…it’s a MOUNTAIN! Lol but I kept at it and after a little over 3 hours, I made it! Felt incredible. Our tour guide was absolutely awesome as well. So patient, kind and really cares about your well-being. The views are breathtaking when the weather cooperates.

I’d recommend!!
