Detailed Overview

Day 1 – Peninsular & Penguin tour (8-hour full day)

We take you on a Luxurious journey through Cape Town’s most beautiful and breath-taking scenery. Mixed with a local’s touch and private experience for the OGR members, we circle to Peninsular covering to what is known as one of the “World’s Best Scenic Drives. We visit Penguins, the Cape of Good Hope and the stunning Chapmans Peak drive.

Day 2 – Wine Tour (7-hours full day)  2 Options:

We explore the Stellenbosch and Franschhoek region to find some of the best kept estates on offer, from small boutique to grand elegance. This option focuses on more personalised luxury experiences giving you a taste of some of South Africans best wines and estates.

Or (option 2)

Join the Wine tram for a The Hop-on Hop-off experience allows you to curate and plan your own day. Choose how long you stay at each spot (within the line schedule), where you eat, where you drink on 7 different lines, which takes you to 6 or 8 top wine estates show casing the famous Franschhoek Valley.

Day 3 – Safari Day Trip (7-hours full day) or Kruger getaway (Please enquire directly)

The program includes a welcome drink, a scrumptious buffet breakfast, 2-to-3-hour game drive led by an experienced guide who will share exciting inside stories: facts about your surroundings then a leisurely lunch, after which you may choose to add on a spa treatment, horseback or quad bike safari.

Day 4 – Township Tour (half day)

You will be collected from your hotel/accommodation and taken 20 mins out to “Langa”, a functional township rich in culture and pride in its heritage. We start with a drive through all the workings of the community and a stop and walk through of the local community centre, which highlights its art & culture, designed to uplift the community. You will learn about the apartheid era and how it affected and shaped the development of Langa and what they are doing now to combat the struggle.

We end at Mzanzi restaurant, where you will be greeted with a very warm welcome to the house by the African Marimba band playing traditional instruments. We sit down to a delicious traditional African meal that highlights the country’s diverse cultures and tastes, prepared by the one and only “Mama” herself with love, the lady of the house. We can assure you it will be one of the best meals you will have in Cape Town.
(This incredible tour can be offered as lunch option or a walking/bicycle tour.)

Day 5 – Table Mountain Hike or take the Cable Way up and down

Climb one of the secret trails of Table Mountain depending on fitness and fear of heights rating. The goal is to take you on some really amazing routes that are private and only known by the local community, these are less travelled and more scenic and offer great wildlife and phenomenal viewpoints.
Along the way you will learn about the birds & wildlife found on the mountain and the famous Fynbos belt, which makes up 10% of all the entire plant species on earth. We descend via the cable car.

Take the cable way up and down and do a guided walk on top learning about the birds & wildlife found on the mountain and the famous Fynbos belt, we take you to some amazing viewpoints as well.

Day 6 – Dune Experience (half day)

We set up base with a marquee tent and host everyone for lunch and drink on the sand.
This creates a fun activity driven scene allowing complete flexibility on the day activities.

We start you off with a 1-hour Quad Bikes adventure through the ever change sand dune of Atlantis, led by a knowledgeable guide, play and fun is mandatory and nothing short of exhilarating.

Sandboarding is then set up on one of the high dunes next to our marquee tent for cover and you are left to simply have extreme fun. Lessons are available at no extra cost should you require.

Both quad biking and sandboarding can be done at the same time or as a combo.

Day 7 – Robbin Island with “Jack” Nelson Mandela’s warden/chef (half day)

We set up a private sit-down coffee or breakfast/lunch with Jack (depending on your ferry departure time) before you depart with him to the island prison where Mandela and he first got to know each other. He will give you insight into life at the prison, as well as his experience as a white warder under apartheid. He’ll take you to Mandela’s cell, the lime quarry, and where he used to stay on the island.

Jack cooked for Mandela and all his special prison guests after he was taken off the island.
Over coffee (depending on your departure time) Jack gives you the inside scoop on Mandela’s diet and show you “the album” in which he keeps all his memories of Mandela, including pictures of and personal notes from him. Jack will also explain how a bond formed between then over this long period.
